what dot brake fluid is safe to use?

Ive got to change the brake fluid in my car becouse braking at after high speed the fluid gets to hot and puts air in the system,then they go spungee.

I just want to know what dot grade can i go up to 1-2-3-4 or 5.

3 is what comes stock . i would put 4 or better if you drive hard or race . i think dot-5 is racing only though and must be changed out every run or race set .

don't use DOT 5 fluid. It cannot be used in conjunction with any other types of brake fluid. DOT 5.1 has a great heatrange, and if it hits the fan, you can use a DOT 3 or DOT 4 along wiht the 5.1

I've used 5.1 on many of my cars and they get 1320 and road track use. IMHO the best low buck braking mod a person can do.
